This non-agricultural cultivation area to be developed in the Regency ofTotikara, covers Residential Area, Mining Area, Tourism Area and Production Forest Area. • Residential AreaResidential area development in the Regency of Tolikara covers:
1. Capital of district and its expansion (as needed). 2. Rural residential groups. • Mining AreaPotentials for development of minerals in the Regency of Tolikara are as follows: Mineral potentials containing Gold (Au), Silver (Ag) and Copper (Ag) in the area of more or less ± 5,435 Km located in the District of Bokondini, Wunin, Panaga, Karubaga, Kembu, Umagi, Wina and Kanggime. • Tourism AreaTourism Objects/Area which must receive attention are those that have not yet been developed / are being developed however they have very big potentials in foreign exchange contribution both to the regional government and central government. These tourism objects are as follows:
1. Lake Biuk in the District of Karubaga. 2. Nature Reserve and Coast Conservation areas in the District of Kembu, Panaga, Wina and in the District of Bokondini. 3. Lorenzt National Park in the mountains area of the District of Woniki. 4. Mount Timorini in the District of Panaga, as ex Base Camp of Expedition Team Phase I11920. In order to support this tourism area development, detailed planning study needs to be carried out in addition to the supporting facilities and infrastructures development thereof. • Production Forest AreaProduction forest areas, which can be developed in the Regency of Tolikara based on forest status, are as follows:
1. District of Kembu, Umagi, Panaga and Wina, i.e. Conversion Production Forest, ± 1,057 Km and District of Kanggime, ± 46 Km2. 2. District of Karubaga, Goyage, i.e. Ordinary Production Forest, ± 1,169 Km2 3. District of Kanggime, Woniki, i.e. Ordinary Production Forest, ± 845 Km2. Kinds of forest product commodity potential to be developed are Oil Palm, Coconut, Coffee, Chocolate, and Red Fruit.
