The area of Tolikara Regency has topography varying between 1,400 meter and 3,300 meter above sea level (dpi), where most of the areas consist of mountains (upland) passed by the flow of several rivers and tributaries coming from hills and mountains in the surrounding area.
If observed from land slope, nearly most of it is dominated by a land slope of above 40% especially in areas in the middle of the regency to the west and east. At the north side bordering on Sarmi Regency and at the north side bordering on Jayawijaya Regency, the land slope varies between 0% and above 40%. The climate in Tolikara Regency is wet tropical; due to the area located at a height (upland), the average temperature varies between 12° C and 20° C. The level of humidity in the planning area is above 86%, while the wind blowing all the year round is southwest wind at an average speed of 16 knots and the lowest speed of 2.9 knots.
